John Shaw Rimmington, artist, designer, author, builder, philosopher, and teacher, is passionate about stone. In the past, he specialized in restoring historic stone buildings, eventually extending his focus to using stone in landscaping and building dry stone walls.  He has designed and constructed many dry stone art installations across Canada as well as built a number of dry stone bridges in Ontario and Quebec. Notably, he and his class built a beautiful dry stone bridge in Haliburton is 2017. John is founder and president of Dry Stone Walling Across of Canada (www.dswac.ca), and also writes a daily blog, Thinking With My Hands.
