Canada Day – July 1st
While Canada Day continues to be a major celebration across the country, it’s also important to remember that the story of this land didn’t begin in 1867 – It extends back thousands upon thousands of years.
As well as a day to celebrate, it’s also a day to learn, to reflect and to look to the future and see how we can continue to make things better.

Minden Hills Celebrations
The Township of Minden Hills presents Canada Day 2023. Join us all day downtown for Food, Music and Fun including the Fishing Derby, Minnow Races, Rubber Ducky Race, Haliburton Highlands Time Travelers Car Show and Rob Power Master Magician’s Strolling Show! Don’t forget to visit the Cultural Centre from 10 am – 4 pm….
Gooderham
Robert McCausland Community Centre at County Roads 503 & 507. Canada Day cake and children’s activities including a clown, games, face painting and cookie decorating get underway at 3:00 pm. BBQ and other food for sale! Evening features the Recycled Teenagers and Fireworks!
Canada Day Fun @ Sir Sam’s
Come and celebrate with us on Canada Day, Saturday, July 1st!
– BBQ by Truss Foodworks on our sundeck – the largest in Haliburton County – from 11am-3pm
– Live music with Bill Black from 11am-3pm
– Scenic chairlift running for biking, hiking and exploring!
Highland Grove Celebrate
