There is always some fun festivals & events happening in the Haliburton Highlands. Click through each season to discover some of our area’s major annual festivals & events. You’ll find a wide variety to choose from, bike races, studio tours, agricultural fairs, live music and performing arts, seasonal craft fairs, and so much more.
Spring & Maple Syrup Season
Maple Weekend
This free, family-friendly, two-day event and is the perfect way to celebrate spring and the annual. First weekend of April.
Farmers Markets
There are 3 locations starting May long weekend and running till Thanksgiving.
Haliburton County Fair
A country fair with music, horse pulls and show with lots for the whole family to do. JUNE
Summer’s the time to Explore
Haliburton Summer Festival
Community theatre company, producing live dramatic and musical productions. JULY through AUG
Minden Pride
A week-long festival in August celebrates the diversity of our community, and helps promote the message of dignity, respect and inclusivity.
Highlands East Studio Tour
A quality studio tour of fine arts and crafts amidst the breathtaking scenery and the quaint communities.
Tour De Forest
The summer artist studio tour that is a road trip, experience and an opportunity to learn. AUG
Garlic Festival

Haliburton Art and Craft Festival
It’s a well curated art fair that’s been a highlight of summer next to Head Lake for over 60 years. JULY
Wilberforce Fair
Provides a family oriented, kid-friendly, volunteer-rich, fun, affordable, hands-on, memorable summer event with a glimpse of times past. AUG
Fall leaves make for Nature’s canvas
The Studio Tour – Haliburton Highlands
Artists of many mediums, welcome you to their studios in the beautiful Haliburton Highlands.. First two weekends of OCT
Corduroy Enduro
Canada’s toughest off-road race since 1953. The Event is centered in the village of Gooderham. SEPT
Hurtin in Haliburton
A gravel biking relay race held at Haliburton Forest and Wild Life Reserve. SEPT
Hike Haliburton
Canada’s largest hiking festival! You will be able to join guided hikes and experience the history, culture and natural beauty of the area. SEPT

Haliburton Forest Poker Run
Participants will ride the trails via snowmobile or ATV visiting our 5 shelter cabins. FEB
