Event Details

People have been managing forest pests using insecticides for over
100 years, and this is currently a hot topic. In this presentation and Q
and A, Dr. Mark Kuhlberg draws from his latest book, Killing Bugs for
Business and Pleasure: Canada’s Aerial War Against Forest Pests,
1913 1930, to address some of the major myths and misconceptions
that surround our forests and the people who manage them. Come
out to learn more about forest insect pests in Muskoka, how they
have been managed in the past, and how we may learn from the past
to make better decisions in the future.
