Event Details

Come to learn about why our lakes and rivers are such important ecosystems, and the status of their fish populations. Fish and wildlife students and researchers have been collecting data in Haliburton Forest for over 25 years.

In this presentation, they will talk about the health of our lakes and rivers , their fish populations, and the things that affect them. You will get to see the equipment that is used for surveying fish and lake health, and the results from 27 years of fish sampling data from a natural brook trout lake.

This presentation is for kids and adults, and fishermen may find it of particular interest!
