Join the Minden Hills Cultural Centre and Haliburton County Public Library for a special event recognizing National Indigenous Peoples Day. We will host a presentation of The Road Forward (2017) at the Cultural Centre on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at 5:00 PM. Admission is free, and all ages are welcome. The documentary is provided courtesy of the National Film Board (NFB).

The Road Forward, directed by Marie Clements, is a musical documentary that melds history with music to chronicle the evolution of First Nations activism in Canada from the 1930s to the present. Featuring diverse musical styles and talented artists, the film underscores the ongoing struggle and advocacy of the Indigenous Peoples for civil rights.

The Cultural Centre is located at 176 Bobcaygeon Road, Minden, Ontario, and is open Tuesday to Saturday, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
