This showcase of “THE BEST” of Tina Turner’s hit songs features the vocal talents of one of Muskoka’s most revered singers and performers, the fantastic Leaynne Connolly. ACOUSTIC TiNA! strips back the showbiz flash to present the raw emotion that is Tina Turner. A seven-piece ensemble of musicians and singers performs full, rich arrangements of the music, retaining the signature saxophone solos and female background vocals, with the occasional vocal baritone cameo reflective of the controversial Ike Turner.

From radio to black and white TV, the Rock stage to MTV, and the silver screen, every aspect of Tina’s career are represented in this intimate “acoustic” presentation of the material. In addition to the lead vocals of Leaynne Connolly, the band features vocalists Tamica Herod, Liz Anderson, and Mike “Lopez” Phillips. Phillips also double on bass guitar, with Sean Cotton on acoustic guitar and backbeat percussion. George Axon delivers lead guitar and Chris Robinson wails on the signature saxophone solos.
