The “Haunting in Minden Hills” Halloween event is returning this year to the Minden Hills Cultural Centre on Saturday, October 26. Activities will be scheduled from 12:00pm to 2:00pm and again from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. The Heritage Village and Nature’s Place Interpretive Centre will be open from 12:00pm to 6:00pm, featuring spooky decorations, hands-on crafts, Halloween games, pumpkin carving, and coloring sheets throughout the day. The event activity schedule is as follows:

•             Storytime by the Haliburton County Public Library from 12:00pm to 12:30pm.
•            Costume parade 1:00pm to 1:30pm, and 4:30pm to 5:00pm.
•             Witch dance workshop by Dance Happens Here Haliburton 1:30pm to 2:00pm, and 4:00pm to 4:30pm.
•            Paranormal Haunted House Tour from 5:00pm to 5:30pm.
•             Face-painting by Pockets the Clown from 12:00pm to 2:00pm, and 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

The Friends of the Haliburton County Public Library will host a sci-fi/thriller book sale, and the Library will offer spooky crafts from 2:00pm to 4:00pm in the Welch room.

Admission is by donation. Registration is not required. Prizes sponsored by local businesses will be awarded for pumpkin carving, costume parades and colouring sheet contest.
