In partnership with the Minden Hills Cultural Centre during this 200th anniversary year, the Haliburton Highlands Genealogy Group presents Nine Ships 1825 Inc., offering a historical overview of the immigration scheme that brought 2,000 impoverished Irish settlers to Ontario under Peter Robinson — and its connection to Haliburton County, where some descendants later settled.
