Sovereign Soil (2019), directed by David Curtis, is a quiet, reflective documentary set around Dawson City, Yukon, following farmers, Indigenous harvesters, and small-scale growers working toward local food sovereignty in one of Canada’s harshest climates. The film highlights seasonal food practices, community knowledge, and sustainable relationships with the land.
