Topics discussed include the life-cycle of trees, fungi, and understory plants, forest succession, nutrient cycling, biodiversity, and the delicate balance that keeps these ecosystems going. From discovering the role of keystone species to identifying native plants and fungi, tracking animal sign, and observing insects, birds and animals, you’ll get a glimpse into the secret lives of Ontario’s diverse forest inhabitants.
