Event Details

Eleven kilometres south of Dorset on Hwy 35 lies a sprawling, architecturally unique facility, once called the Leslie M Frost Natural Resources Centre. It functioned as a outdoor education and training facility for 60 years. Jim Baker, John Etches, Carol Moffatt, and Barrie Martin have stories to tell about its history, its people and programs.

Jim Baker will tell stories of the Ranger School and Ontario Forest Technical School before it became the Frost Centre, John and Barrie will regale you with tales of outdoor education, and Carol will relate her experience with the Centre’s closure and impact on the community.
