During the week of August 5 – 10th dance performances will be popping up in parks and on the streets of Haliburton and Minden.
Dance Happens Here Haliburton (DH3) is presenting “’Note the Weather” a contemporary dance for outdoor public spaces featuring five dancers and a harpist.

- August 6 at Haliburton Rotary Summerfest (excerpts): 4:15 – 5:00 pm
- August 7 at the Haliburton School of Art and Design (in front of the red doors) (excerpts): 12:15 – 12:50 pm
- August 9 at Haliburton Village Square (excerpts): 5:00 – 5:30 pm
- August 10 in the Village Green (full work): Minden: 11:30 am – 12:30 pm
Attendance is free, donations on site are welcome

Event Details
The Haliburton Sculpture Forest is excited to announce that Indigenous artist, Jared Tait, will be leading, as our artist in residence, a community engagement art event, Bawaajigan, during the week of August 12th -16th.
Community members are invited to participate in this free event which will take place under the big tent at the Haliburton School of Art + Design campus in Haliburton each day from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Under the guidance of Jared Tait, participants will learn about the woodland style of painting and will participate in the painting of a number of 3-dimensional woodland style figures which will be placed in the Haliburton Sculpture Forest. The finished work will be unveiled in the Sculpture Forest at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 17th. Community members are welcome participate each day or simply join in when available. Registration for this event is not required, however it is appreciated and will be available through Eventbrite.
Jared Tait is a member of the Sachigo Lake First Nation an Oji-Cree First Nation in Treaty 9, territory in the far north of Ontario near the Manitoba border. Jared was raised in Thunder Bay. He currently resides with his family in the countryside near Bancroft.
